  2009 turned out to be a bad year for IPO investors. Though a large number of companies raised more than Rs. 20,000 cr. through IPOs during the year, very few stocks are quoting above their issue price. This is primarily because of the aggressive pricing of IPOs by promoters which leaves very little for the investors after listing. And this is certainly bad news for the investors.
